And the Learning Continues..onto 2011.

Next week, The Viking and I will pass the two month mark of living together. I'm happy to say it's finally feeling like he's not just visiting and a routine is starting to form between us. Yet, until he finds a permanent job, things are going to just be a tad touchy around the house -  but that's another story.

So, we made it through a Christmas day (gorging ourselves til we both got sick - true story!) and we're about to embark on our second New Year's Eve together. I'm pretty excited for this one, only b/c last year we encountered a minor mishap when he literally head-butted my dog (by accident) and we to make an emergency vet visit. We were in bed by 10:30 p.m. last year and it was a prelude to a shitty 2010.

But I digress. I've learned a few more things about The Viking in addition to what I've already learned, which you can read HERE.

  • The Viking likes to sit in the dark and watch TV.
  • The Viking is addicted to Sudoku - and although explained to me, I still don't get the appeal.
  • The Viking likes to drink everything (particularly applejuice and lemonade) from his Bubba Keg as seen below: He also likes to leave it on the floor.

  • The Viking's way of getting the laundry bin to the bottom of the steps is to throw it.
  • The Viking spoils my dog (which I love)
  • The Viking likes to trick me in thinking the CDs in my car are of Madonna or Muse when they're really of Iron Maiden and Hatebreed.

I have a feeling I'll continue to add to this list in the coming months so stay tuned.

And although it may seem like I'm supplying you with all the not so favorable things he does, I must admit that I've learned how to exhale again now that we're living together. You can't imagine the stress and strain of a long-distance relationship and I'm so happy we don't have to deal with anymore. I'm looking forward to decorating the house the way "we" want, to get back into my gym routine and taking trips together this spring. I LOVE NOT counting down the days until we see one another - the days flow so much better now. :)

What's odd is that I'm almost forgetting what it's like to live alone - and I like it. :)

So here's to a better 2011 then 2010. Here's to looking ahead everyday and not to just the next 12 days or 20 days or 2 days.

Happy New Year from me and the Viking. He hates this photo b/c he thinks he has five chins in it but hey, I look good. :)

  1. The fact the Viking likes Iron Maiden means he can have all the faults in the world and he's cool with me. I wish his name was like Tore Vikingstad (Norwegian hockey player), that would be epic.

Bobina & I didn't start living together until we got married because of the children, but after two months she had me figured out too.

    Merry New Year
